Our Philosophy
Functional First Aid Paramedical provides comprehensive event medical services delivered by a highly experienced team of qualified Event Medics and Paramedics. We are committed to ensuring the health, safety, and wellbeing of participants, officials, volunteers, and spectators across a diverse range of events.
Our experience spans a broad spectrum of sporting and community events, including motocross competitions, equestrian events, Ultimate Frisbee tournaments, agricultural shows such as the Morisset Show, and numerous community-based events throughout the region.
Our clinicians provide immediate assessment, treatment, and ongoing management of illness and injury presentations on-site. Where clinically appropriate, our team can administer first aid interventions, advanced patient care, and pain management to ensure prompt and effective treatment.
We routinely manage a wide range of injuries and medical conditions, including:

● Soft tissue injuries
● Lacerations and wounds
● Fractures and suspected fractures
● Head injuries
● Concussion and suspected concussion
● Medical emergencies and acute illness presentations
Recognising the importance of early identification and management of concussion, all Functional First Aid Paramedical personnel have undertaken additional training in concussion recognition, assessment, and management in line with current best-practice guidelines.
Our highly skilled clinicians are experienced in determining the most appropriate pathway of care for each patient. This includes identifying when a patient requires emergency ambulance transport, emergency department assessment, review by a general practitioner, physiotherapy intervention, or when treatment and discharge at the event is clinically appropriate.
